This news item is from Whitchurch Town Team to keep everyone informed of organisational closures over the Christmas period. The following organisations, clubs and shops will be closed on the dates listed below:
Whitchurch Friday Market
The Friday Market for Christmas is being held on WEDNESDAY 23rd DECEMBER 2015 and the market will re-open on FRIDAY 8th JANUARY 2016.
Whitchurch Town Council & Community Hub
The closure of the Town Council and Hub, including Shropshire Council Services, are Wednesday 23rd December – reopen on Monday 4th January 2016. The Town Council Maintenance Team will be opening up for events that have been booked during the closed times.
Whitchurch Farmers’ Market
There will NOT be a market on the first Saturday in January 2016. The first Whitchurch Farmers’ Market of 2016 will be on Saturday 6th February 2016.
Whitchurch Library
The library will close for Christmas at 7.30pm on Tuesday 22nd December, and re-open at 1.30pm on Monday 4th January.
Centre NE Youth Club
The last session of 2015 is on Thursday 17th December and the youth club will re-open on Tuesday 5th January 2016.
Whitchurch Leisure Centre
The Leisure Centre will close for the two week period Monday 21st December 2015 to Sunday 3rd January 2016, with the exception of the following reduced opening hours for members of the Fitness Suite only:
Monday 21st to Wednesday 23rd December – 9.00am – 12noon & 5.00pm – 8.00pm
Thursday 24th December – 9am – 12noon
Tuesday 29th to Wednesday 30th December – 9.00am – 12noon & 5.00pm – 8.00pm
Thursday 31st December – 9.00am – 12noon
Whitchurch Swimming Centre
The swimming centre will close on Thursday 24th December at 4pm and reopen on Tuesday 29th December at 6am. The Swimming Centre will also be closed on New Years Day and reopen on Saturday 2nd January 2016 at 6.30am. Whitchurch Senior Citizen’s Club, Pearl Yard
Whitchurch Senior Club Bingo and Whist Drives finish on 14th December and re-commence on the week beginning 4th January 2016.
Whitchurch Hear Here Group
Whitchurch Hear Here Group have our last meeting of the year on 1st December at the Senior Citizen’s Club, Pearl Yard, Whitchurc. Instead of a meeting in January the Group have a Christmas Lunch at the Anchor on 5th January. ~There is a programme for the whole of 2016 which can be found in the What’s On calendar.

Closing at 2pm on 24th December 2015 and re-opening on 4th January 2016 at 9am.
