Spring Fair – Saturday 1st April from 9am

Whitchurch Spring Fair – Saturday 1st April from 9am until 4pm throughout the town centre – launching The Makers Market, alongside Whitchurch Farmers Market which is set to get bigger!!   Plenty to do for all the family – baby chicks to touch and hold, many places to eat and drink, not just at the market, an indoor fair and Ramped CIC will be bringing a few skate ramps to the Market Hall – so much to see and do – so come along – it’s free!

Whitchurch Town Council, Town Team and The Makers Market are working in partnership to improve and expand Whitchurch’s popular Farmers’ Market.

The Whitchurch Makers Market is scheduled to launch on Saturday 1st of April and will regularly be held between 9am and 4pm on the first Saturday of each month. The new market located on Whitchurch High Street and the Bull Ring will showcase award winning local food, drink, art & craft producers and artisans, as well as music, performance, cookery demonstrations and activities for children.

New stall holders will boost the variety of goods on sale, alongside the traders from the existing Whitchurch Farmers Market who will continue to offer popular products that loyal customers flock to buy.

Councillor of Whitchurch  Town Council said:

“Over the last three years Whitchurch Farmers Market has provided a welcoming community event in the heart of the town. I’m delighted our Whitchurch Town Team  will be working with The Makers Market to help the event further grow and evolve.

“The Makers Market has already attracted a number of new traders to the market who promise to complement our valued existing traders and offer consumers an even greater choice of desirable products. The increased number of visitors to the town – lured by the improved market – will not only add to the atmosphere of the event but provide a greater footfall for surrounding businesses.“

Lisa Baldwin, Event Manager of the Makers Market, said :

“We pride ourselves at the Makers Market in delivering delightful specialist events with many award winning local producers of unique goods that complement rather than compete with the permanent retail offering. The aim of our events is to ensure we create a monthly happening, that is enjoyable and a must in the diary, consequently bringing the community together, helping to create a sense of place and increasing footfall for the local businesses.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Whitchurch Town Council on the new monthly Whitchurch Makers Market which promises to be an event not to be missed. We will work hard to protect the relationships that have been forged over the last three years of the Whitchurch Farmers Market and will continue to grow our relationships with the market’s regular stall holders, community groups and performers. We very much look forward to developing the event alongside Whitchurch Town Council.”
