Join the Whitchurch Community Clear-Up Day this Saturday

26187-CCUP_Day-ENABLEDThis Saturday, 21st March, the first ever national community clear up day, with the aim to spruce up town centres, high streets, and parks.

Whitchurch is going to be involved and will be holding a litter pick this Saturday morning, 21st March.  Everyone will meet in the market hall at the rear of the Civic Centre at 9.45am and intend to be out for about 2 hours.  Refreshments and biscuits will be provided for all volunteers afterwards.

The local Community Clear-up is being organised by Andy Nelson, of Leonard Brother Vets and he is asking for your help and support with this event.  All you need to do is give up a couple of hours of your time this Saturday morning to come along, get stuck in and help improve Whitchurch for all.

Different routes for the litter pickers are planned and equipment organised but you can still turn up and join in – the more the merrier!!

Please also bring your children/grandchildren along, experience has shown that they love doing the litter picks and it’s a hugely important message to pass onto the next generation.  Dogs on leads are also welcome.

Please also pass the details on to anyone you know who may be able to help with Whitchurch’s Community Clear-up.  In the past many people have helped and it’s always been a fun and worthwhile event.  Over 100 black sacks of litter were collected last time this event was run, so YOU can really make a difference to your community.

To offer your help and support or get further information, please email Andy Nelson at andynelson@btinternet.com
