Brown Moss Countryside Site

This Local Nature Reserve is one of the meres and mosses that characterise the landscape of North Shropshire. Formed by the retreating glaciers of the last Ice Age, they are rich in plants and wildlife. The close proximity of stretches of open water makes Brown Moss an excellent place to watch wading birds.

There are lovely level walks around the lake and in the woods.  Many waterfowl visit the lake.  Lots of car parking and picnic facilities.
