Whitchurch town centre will be beautiful shades of purple this week as shops decorate their windows and businesses by “painting the town purple” in aid of Cancer Research UK.
Following on from the success of “Paint the Town Purple” last year, Whitchurch Relay for Life team are once again aiming to repeat this fabulous community event with the help of shop owners in the town. This week will launch Whitchurch Relay For Life 2016 and coincide with World Cancer Day on Thursday 4th February 2016.
Paint the Town Purple will last from Monday 1st February to Monday 8th and Mayor, Mike McDonald, will judge the best dressed window on Saturday 6th February. The winning shop will receive a trophy and a bottle of champagne.
